The ideal person to provide your Letter of Invitation depends on the reason for your visit to Canada:
‍An invitation letter is an official invitation from someone in the destination country, inviting you to visit. A letter of sponsorship details financial support, showing that someone in the destination country will help cover your expenses during your stay. The support letter should be written by a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident residing in Canada and can be provided for friends and family members.

Information that should be included in the letter?
‍- The letter should accompany an invitation letter and contain:
- Essential details about both the visa applicant and the person providing support.
- A photocopy of a document proving the support person’s status in Canada.

Additional Considerations
- Note that merely writing a letter of support does not make the inviter legally responsible for the visitor once they arrive in Canada.
- The letter should be written in good faith, with truthful information.
- The letter should be notarized in front of a notary.
